When do you need the therapy?

If you are often tired and distracted during the day, you snore at night and have breathing stops then you may suffer from sleep apnoea syndrome.

The most frequent reason for an obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome is a strong relaxation of the ring shaped musculature in the upper airways. Therefore the upper part of the wind pipe collapses and the airways are obstructed, which in turn leads to an insufficient supply (of oxygen) in the blood and as a result a waking reaction occurs in the body. In most cases the patient does not remember, however the recovery function of sleep is disturbed.

Cardio vascular illnesses, dozing off while steering (traffic accidents!) and social problems (heating, work place) can be the consequences.

Snoring and sleep apnoea are common sleep disorders and therefore we recommend clarification by your GP or a specialist!
